    • The marriage licence is for a wedding on 18 April at North Stoneham. William was a yeoman from South Stoneham, Elizabeth from North Stoneham. They were bachelor and spinster, both aged 21. Elizabeth's surname was spelt Lavender in the licence. [3]

  • Notes
    • It's not certain that the man who married Elizabeth Lavington / Lavender was the child who was baptised in Upham in 1789, but it ties together two otherwise unexplained records. They seem to vanish following their marriage.
