  According to John Scheu's marriage certificate, John's father was a cooper (barrel maker) named Henry Scheu. This is the only known reference to Henry. John was born in an unspecified part of Germany and probably came to England in the late 1860s or early 1870s, but there is no evidence that Henry emigrated to England: probably lived and died in Germany, in which case he was presumably called Heinrich, not Henry.
