  Notes	FreeBMD indexes two Mary Anns on vol. 2c, p. 524 of the Cookham marriage register. One is Mary Ann Slaughter, the other Mary Ann Watts. A Mary Ann Watts, b 1832 in Sonning, appears on the 1851 census for Cookham, dau of William & Jane; a Mary Ann Slaughter appears on the 1841 census for Dedworth in Windsor, b 1835. The census shows James' wife as b 1833 or 1832, and the marriage was in Cookham district, so Mary Ann Watts is the better fit. But this is not conclusive. [1]
