Notes - On the 1851 census, Ann is 8 [b 1842-3]. There are two candidates for her on the 1861 census, one 16 [b 1844-5] and one 20 [b 1840-41]; probably the younger one is the daughter of Richard & Elizabeth. On the marriage of Ann Fry to William George Burgess in 1864 she is 23 [b 1840-41], and her father is given as Thomas. On the 1871 census, she is 30 [b 1840-41], born in Bloxworth. Although there were several Fry families in Bloxworth in the 1840s, it seems Thomas Trim Fry was the only Thomas having children there at the time. There is no suitable birth registration in Wareham district, but it seems possible Ann was a couple of years old when baptised in 1844.
