• Notes

  There are two different James Keepings of about the same age: one baptised 30 Jul 1826 at Beaulieu, the son of James & Sarah; the other baptised 14 Oct 1827 at Boldre, the son of John & Catherine. We can be pretty sure it was James & Sarah's son who married Sarah Munden in 1853, as on the 1861 census the younger James & Sarah are living next door to the widowed older Sarah (née Lawrence).
