• Notes

  John and Martha have different mothers listed in the baptism register – Mary and Elizabeth, respectively. I think this is most likely a clerical error. There is no evidence for more than one adult Charles Bull in the Boldre area at this time, and Charles's will suggests he had more than four children in 1775.
